Job Summary:
A sheet metal fabricator plays an important role on our manufacturing team. You will work from engineered drawings and setup sheets to fabricate a wide variety of parts. The team you join may fabricate, assemble, or powder coat sheet metal products. Your work may include
- the use of hand tools to smooth rough edges
- drilling, countersinking, and tapping
- installing hardware or threaded inserts
- racking or masking parts for powder coat
- assembling components into complete products or kits

In powder coat prep you’ll be responsible for cleaning, masking, and racking parts in preparation for powder coating. You play an important role as one of the last stages in the manufacturing process. Instructions will come from your managers, engineered drawings, and setup sheets to prep a wide variety of parts. Your work may include
- Using cleaning agents to wipe and degrease parts
- Work with your hands to plug and mask parts
- Use of CNC aided masking templates
- Racking or masking parts for powder coat
- Assembling components into complete products or kits

QUALITY, COMPLIANCE & SAFETY COORDINATOR

SUMMARY
Seeking an experienced Quality, Compliance & Safety Coordinator. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Meta Fab’s Quality Management System (QMS), performing internal audits, facilitating outside audits per ISO Certification requirements, and leading and managing the safety team.
Competitive Salary Range: $50,000 – $75,000 + Benefits
POSITION SNAPSHOT
This position works closely with all technical sales, engineering, and production teams to maintain internal quality expectations that meet or exceed customer requirements. You will work collaboratively to accomplish organizational goals while reporting directly to the leadership team. The responsibilities of the Quality, Compliance & Safety Coordinator are to further develop and maintain QMS, audits, and safety protocols within the company. Tasks include building out training programs for On the Job Training (OJT) programs, tracking quality data and making CPI recommendations to the executive team, running safety meetings, and being a liaison between the company and outside agencies as appropriate.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality
- Assure the compliance, compliance, and safety procedures of all organization’s quality management systems.
- Develop training programs for employees and new hires to comply with internal QMS.
- Provide support to areas where help is required to implement quality or regulatory processes.
- Manage Defective Material Returns (DMR) process.
- Contact vendors with quality-related issues.
- Perform process part inspections.
- Create audits to identify non-conformance issues when presented through the DMR process.
- Plan, execute, and follow up with CPI quality initiatives.
- Track DMRs internally, compile data, write reports and propose corrective action plans.
Compliance
- Serve as liaison between customer and production during the DMR process.
- Qualify vendors per QMS process.
- Manage controlled documentation.
- Oversee tool calibration and metrology training.
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs and activities.
- Manage REACH, RoHS & Conflict Minerals policies.
- Perform internal audits to verify quality system requirements, regulatory compliance, and conformance to internal Meta Fab and externally mandated requirements.
- Engage in external audit processes (certification, customer, regulatory etc.)
Safety
- Lead Safety Committee.
- Fire extinguisher training.
- CPR & First Aid training.
- Conduct incident investigations.
- COVID-19 compliance and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Regulatory and Quality Audit Process experience.
- Three years of experience in a quality-related role.
- Regulations and Quality Standards (ISO9001, AS9100, FMEA, PPAP, or related standards)
- Ability to communicate quality-related issues to production staff and leadership team.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of company technical and cosmetic standards.
- Ability to collect, analyze and derive corrective action from collected data.
Dependability, reliability, trainability, and flexibility are all required skills.
